Sunjeet Deol is a member of the firm’s Insurance, Class Actions, Construction + Engineering and Motor Vehicle Practices.
His practice is primarily litigation based with a focus on matters involving coverage disputes, personal injury, property damage, product liability, professional liability and commercial host liability. He frequently acts as counsel on casualty claims, prosecutes subrogated recovery matters, defends coverage claims, property damage claims and professional liability claims. Sunjeet has significant experience in defending property damage and business interruption claims arising from product failures, industrial accidents, and construction defect matters. He has advised primary and excess insurers in relation to coverage matters arising from large claims in the mining, forestry and pulp and paper industries. He is also experienced in the resolution of litigation through the use of alternative dispute resolution mechanisms, such as mediation.
Sunjeet has previously been active in the insurance industry as a broker and has a keen interest in insurance law. In addition to his litigation practice, Sunjeet routinely advises insurers on complex coverage matters.
