Jenaya Copithorne joined Alexander Holburn as an articling student in September 2024.

Throughout law school, Jenaya worked as a research assistant at the Canada Climate Law Initiative, examining trends in climate litigation, greenwashing regulation, and corporate disclosure of climate-related information. She also worked as a legal summer student at an energy utility in Vancouver, where she gained practical experience in municipal, administrative, and environmental law. Other highlights of her time in law school include volunteering with Pro Bono Students Canada and facilitating legal education workshops for high school students through the Law in Action Within Schools program.

Jenaya was the recipient of the 2023 Lawson Lundell LLP Prize in Securities Regulation and the 2022 Norman A.M. Mackenzie Scholarship for scholastic achievement.

Before attending law school, Jenaya completed a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations at UBC, graduating with high distinction

On A Personal Note...

In her free time, Jenaya enjoys running, rowing, backpacking and creative writing.
