Christopher Reain is a Partner and a Member of our Business Disputes and Insurance Practice Groups.

Chris’s broad business litigation practice includes the areas of insurance, construction, professional liability, product liability and environmental matters. He is routinely retained on behalf of business and property owners, architects, engineers, contractors, manufacturers and insurers to provide advice and guidance with respect to large, complex disputes.

Chris primarily assists clients on matters which involve complex technical issues relating to:

  • Construction projects;
  • The manufacture of products, machinery and equipment; and
  • Environmental contamination and remediation.

Chris is also regularly called upon by insurers for guidance relating to coverage matters on all manner of insurance policies including CGL, D+O, E+O, All-risks, Wrap-up, and Course of Construction policies.

Chris’s approach to matters involves him quickly and efficiently getting to the crux of a dispute, which allows for the development of creative and effective resolution strategies at an early stage but, when necessary, Chris’s extensive litigation experience allows him to effectively advocate his clients’ case at trials, arbitrations, and other court proceedings.

On A Personal Note...

Christopher is a superdad to his three children. He is also an avid skier and guitarist who has played with several less-than-famous bands over the years. Chris is also a proud volunteer with the Ontario Track 3 Adaptive Sports Association, and sits on their Board of Directors. The Ontario Track 3 Adaptive Sports Association is an inclusive volunteer, non-profit charitable organization that teaches alpine sports to children and youth with physical and cognitive challenges.
