Anil is a lawyer in our Insurance, Strata Property and Residential Tenancy Group.

His practice is litigation based and mainly focuses on strata property matters. In British Columbia, he has appeared before the Provincial Court, Supreme Court and the Court of Appeal as well as various Tribunals including, but not limited to, the Civil Resolution Tribunal, the Human Rights Tribunal, and the Residential Tenancy Branch. Anil advises on all areas of strata law with a focus on strata governance, bylaw enforcement, collections, litigation, human rights, and privacy matters.

In addition to his practice, Anil also acts as an adjudicator for the Employment and Assistance Appeals Tribunal. Further, he is a Visiting Professor for Simon Fraser University’s Masters in  Applied Legal Studies Program where he lectures on Property Law.

Anil both summered and completed articles with Alexander Holburn. He obtained his Bachelor of Arts from the University of British Columbia in 2005 and his J.D. from the University of British Columbia in 2015.

Prior to becoming a lawyer, Anil worked as a Border Services Officer (“BSO”) with the Canada Border Services Agency. As a BSO, Anil conducted port of entry examinations to ensure traveller compliance with the Customs ActImmigration and Refugee Protection ActCriminal Code and other various Acts of Parliament.

On A Personal Note...

In his spare time, Anil enjoys photography, theatre, playing soccer/hockey and most other sports and discovering Vancouver’s best brunch locations.

Representative Experience

Anil has conducted trials in the British Columbia Provincial Court. He has also appeared in Supreme Court Chambers on a variety of matters.
