Essential Information for Charitable Beneficiaries

Join Aubrie Girou, estate and trust lawyer, and Karen Brown, director of estate giving and philanthropy, for an informative discussion on executor’s accounts. This session will cover the obligations of executors and residual beneficiaries, common concerns, conflicts, consequences, and procedural basics. The focus will be on the perspective of a residual beneficiary charity.

Presented from the viewpoint of a charity named in a will to receive all or part of the estate residue, this discussion will explore the beneficiary’s options when presented with executor’s accounts that are problematic. The content is relevant for any organization that has been a residual beneficiary under a will.
