Alexander Holburn is pleased to announce that Johann Z. Annisette and Rory J.R. Love have joined as associates in the Toronto office.
Johann Z. Annisette‘s practice focuses on commercial litigation. He has experience conducting complex legal research on a variety of matters, including matters related to director duties, substitute decision-making, and class action certifications. Johann efficiently and cost-effectively handles claims for his clients, and has represented them at numerous settlement conferences and negotiated settlement terms, represented clients at judgement-debtor examinations, and argued several ex-parte motions in the Ontario Superior Court. Johann joins as a member of the Insurance Practice Group and the Business Disputes Practice Group.
Rory J.R. Love‘s practice is focused on insurance defence. Rory joins as a member of the Insurance Practice Group and Business Disputes Practice Group. He has expertise with matters relating to personal injury, motor vehicle liability, municipal liability, construction, and property damage disputes. Rory also regularly provides coverage opinions and handles subrogated matters for insurers. He has appeared before multiple levels of law, including the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, Ontario Provincial Court, Highway Traffic Court, and Small Claims Court. Rory is known for his client-centric approach and has attended court on behalf of clients for various motions, pre-trials, case conferences, and hearings. Additionally, he attends examinations for discovery and settlement conferences on behalf of clients. He is also experienced with alternative dispute resolution, having successfully mediated many claims.
